Entertainment Ministries was founded in 1997 by Rev. Richard Rivette, commonly known as “Rick”. Rick, through Entertainment Ministries, has been sharing the good news of God’s love and forgiveness in Christ with recording artists, TV & film composers, studio musicians, as well as writers, directors, producers and actors in TV and film.

One of Entertainment Ministries' first projects was to provide composer J.A.C. Redford’s autobiography, Welcome All Wonders: A Composer’s Journey, to film composers and studio musicians in the Los Angeles area. J.A.C. Redford is a well known TV & film composer (TV credits: “St. Elsewhere”, “Coach”, “7th Heaven”, “Murder She Wrote”, “Coming Of Age”, “Family Ties”; Film credits: A Trip to Bountiful, Mighty Ducks 2, Mighty Ducks 3, A Kid In King Arthur’s Court, Leroy & Stitch, George Of the Jungle II,, Oliver and Company!, One Night With The King. ) With J.A.C.’s permission, EM redesigned the cover to the book. Under the leadership of Rick Rivette, a group of film composers and studio musicians were brought together who gave JAC’s book away to their friends as Christmas presents. His book was read with great interest by many folks in the entertainment business as they followed the events that led JAC to Los Angeles and a successful career as a TV & Film composer. The story of his successes, struggles, and personal spiritual search for God and how he came to experience God’s grace in Jesus, brought inspiration, insight and understanding to many folks in the music business. For several months, JAC’s book instigated many stimulating conversations among musicians at various recording sessions! Over lunch at a restaurant in Studio City, several film composers and studio musicians were in a discussion with Rick, and suggested he put together a brochure that would clearly explain to people in the entertainment industry, how one could come to know God. As a result of this challenge, Rick completed the brochure, Has God Ever Been Here? Over the course of several years, this brochure was sent, along with a personal letter from Rick, to every executive at every major record label in Los Angeles.

Presently, Rick is sending a personal letter along with the brochure, Has God Ever Been Here? to writers, directors, producers and Actors of major TV shows. It is hoped that this brochure will help those who read it come to a greater understanding of the Creator God and how one can know Him. Rick includes an invitation to meet with him on a personal basis in every letter. Rick meets with people in the entertainment business at restaurants, in offices, homes, or other places that are convenient. Rick keeps his meetings and conversations in complete confidence.

BIOS of Rick & Linda Rivette: Rick is a graduate of Georgia State University, the International School of Theology, and has been in ministry for over thirty years. Rick has been a guest speaker, preacher, and Bible expositor in churches and at special events all across the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, the Philippines and Romania.

Rick enjoys meeting with people in the entertainment industry both "one on one" and in small groups. Over the years he has met with recording artists, film composers, studio musicians, as well as with writers, directors, producers, directors, and actors in TV and film.

Linda is a graduate of Oswego State College and the Institute of Biblical Studies. She has been a partner in ministry with Rick from the beginning.

Rick and Linda believe people in the entertainment business face many difficult situations that require the guidance and wisdom of God. It is their desire that people everywhere come to know the Creator God, and His saving grace found in Jesus.

Rick and Linda Rivette live in the Los Angeles area and have eight children. Their oldest four children are off on their own, so Rick & Linda are busy with the four youngest, and enjoy occasional visits from any one of the older four. Linda has always been active with Rick in ministry, and is the Vice President of Entertainment Ministries.
